(Bang out a what!?) I am thrilled and honored to share that my friends Ann and Kay at Modern Daily Knitting have chosen my Main Squeeze Cardigan as their Bang Out a Sweater project for 2020!

What Is Bang Out a Sweater?

Historically, the ladies at MDK have challenged knitters to knit up a whole sweater during the month of February. In previous years they have banged out a Stopover, a Hadley, a Carbeth, and a Norah Gaughan.

(It’s really, really fun.)

What are we banging out in 2020?

More than ever, we crave a cocoon of a sweater that we can climb into during the deepest part of winter. We are certain that this year’s design is the the fastest, most satisfying, quickest pattern yet.

Dates: Needles up on Saturday, February 1. Aim to finish by Saturday, February 29.

Get the pattern. This design appears in MDK Field Guide No. 12: Big Joy—immediately downloadable to your Ravelry library. Or order a print edition (which includes a digital ebook download so that you can add it to your Ravelry library).

Choose your yarn. As always with MDK’s knitalongs, feel free to use any yarn that you like. We happen to be keen on the fluffy fluffitude of Rowan Big Wool.
