I’m a minimalist at heart and I truly believe less is more and simple equals wearable. There’s no greater satisfaction than finishing a hand-knit piece, trying it on and falling in love with it. I’ve included a sizing worksheet to make this process easier, especially if you’re knitting a sweater for someone else. This worksheet will give you a space to record actual measurements, as well as measurements from an existing well-fitting sweater from your closet, or from the closet of the person you are knitting for. Whether your goal is a garment that is fitted or relaxed, this collection includes endless options to enhance your cozy, comfortable hand-knit wardrobe. Designs in this collection were knitted using Rowan Valley Tweed, Moordale, Softyak DK, Cotton Cashmere, Felted Tweed Aran, and Island Blend.

ABOUT THE AUTHOR
Jen Geigley lives and knits in Des Moines, Iowa, with her husband and two children. Known for her clean, modern designs, Jen has an appreciation for simple knits that are easy to wear. Her designs have been published in Rowan Yarns + Quail Studio publications, Vogue Knitting Magazine, Knit Simple Magazine, Noro Magazine, Knitsy Magazine, Knitty and several other publications. She has self-published knitwear patterns online since 2010. Jen is passionate about sharing her love of knitting by teaching knitting classes to adults and children at several local schools and workshops, and loves to knit with her daughter. Originally trained in the arts, she creates her own sketches, illustrations, schematics and graphic design work. In her spare time, she enjoys watching Quentin Tarantino movies, going to concerts and listening to alt, metal and punk rock music.
